Elite Travel Teams
Our mission is to provide year-round field hockey training for the beginner to the college bound athlete. Ballyhoo Field Hockey is the training ground for the York area’s most talented field hockey players. Our club stresses field hockey fundamentals, situational play, individual skill development and team play as well as provides high level training for those who intend on pursuing a collegiate field hockey career. Our program runs from November through May. We compete in both indoor and outdoor regional and national qualifying tournaments. Players participating in the full season program will attend 7 indoor, and 3 outdoor tournaments, as well as spring showcases and clinics.
We field competitive travel programs in the following age groups: U10, U12, U14, U16, U19. Male players are encouraged to participate at every level.
2019-2020 Field Hockey Tryouts
Ballyhoo Field Hockey is looking to fill open spots in our competitive travel program. We have openings in our U12, U14, U16, and U19 age groups as well as our newly created U10 division.
Tryouts are scheduled for the following:
- August 25th from 2:00PM – 6:00PM
- September 8th from 2:00PM – 6:00PM
Cost to tryout is $25.

The full season fee is $1,695. This includes 7 indoor tournaments (may include NIT Qualifier) and 3 outdoor tournaments. Fundraisers/payment options available. The fee is non-refundable.
U10/U12 program (non-refundable full season Nov – May)
The full season fee is $750 and includes 2 indoor tournaments and 1 spring outdoor tournament.
This program is designed to develop their field hockey skills, introduce them to game strategies and experience tournament settings. Whether you’ve played before or are just starting out, our mission is to reach all developmental goals they have for the sport. This group will practice 1 time per week (90 min) from November through May. Regardless of experience, our mission is to provide the necessary coaching to give each player a solid foundation.

The staff of Ballyhoo Sports Academy reserves the rights to approve all team tournaments. This is to ensure that teams are playing in the proper tournaments for the benefit of the players.
Each Ballyhoo Academy Field Hockey player must also join USA field hockey and will be covered by USA field hockey insurance.

We assign players based on skill, performance, attitude and attendance. Our goal is to develop individual skills within the context of the team so that each player is prepared to play at the appropriate level in the program as well as preparing you to play at the collegiate level. A player’s attitude toward the club, coaches, and their teammates is regarded highly in our selection and retention process.
Ballyhoo Sports Academy maintains a constant spirit wear store online, available to all participants and families.
