Congratulations FC Ballyhoo 03 Black!

Congratulations to our FC Ballyhoo 03 Black boys soccer team for winning  the Easter Pennsylvania Presidents Cup on Saturday, May 19th!

The Eastern Pennsylvania Presidents Cup (U12-U18) is a World Cup-style, statewide competition that sees winning teams advance to the regional and national levels. State Presidents Cup champions as well as runners-up in the U12 Boys, U13 Boys, U16 Boys, U14 Girls, U17 Girls and U18 Girls will move on to the 2018 US Youth Soccer Eastern Presidents Cup in Barboursville, West Virginia, June 15-18. Champions there will advance to the US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup, July 11-15.

FC Ballyhoo and PA Classics partnering to form Classics Ballyhoo

York, PA – FC Ballyhoo and PA Classics are pleased to announce a partnership working together under the name Classics Ballyhoo beginning in the summer of 2018.

Classics Ballyhoo is an exciting strategic alliance to provide a better experience for all players in South Central PA. It will be the established pathway for York and Adams County players into the PA Classics US Soccer Development Academy boys and girls teams, which is the highest level of club soccer offered in the country.

The Ballyhoo leadership and overall management including structure and staffing will remain unchanged. The partnership will permit many synergies improving the prospects of both Clubs.

How will the partnership work?

The Clubs are not merging, Classics Ballyhoo is a partnership, with both Clubs continuing to run as separate organizations. The Ballyhoo overall management and structure will remain the same, including Coaches and Directors.

Ballyhoo will encourage and refer to PA Classics Academy, any individuals that they feel are worthy and of the appropriate ability for the US Development Academy Level.

PA Classics will encourage ALL other York/Adams County players to play for Ballyhoo.

Ballyhoo will be treated as an equivalent pathway to the Academy, as the Classics Elite and Premier teams, with players given the same opportunities to be seen and referred, but while practicing and playing locally in York County.


How will the teams be structured?


Classics Academy – The top 14-18 players from Lancaster/Reading Area, York/Adams County and Harrisburg Areas – Playing in US Soccer Development Academy, following the Academy rules

Classics Elite – Classics B and C teams, with players from Lancaster/Reading Area

Classics Premier – Classics D and E teams, with players from Lancaster/Reading Area

Classics Ballyhoo Black – Ballyhoo A team, with Players from York/Adams County

Classics Ballyhoo White – Ballyhoo B team, with Players from York/Adams County

Classics Nova – Nova A team, with players from Harrisburg Area


Where will the Classics Ballyhoo teams practice and play games?

The Classics Ballyhoo teams will continue to participate in outdoor practices and play their home games in York County at the FC Complex, Penn State York and John Rudy Park. The Classics Ballyhoo teams will participate in winter indoor practices in York at Heritage Hills Athletic Club and Backyard University.


What tournaments and Leagues will Classics Ballyhoo Play in?

Classic Ballyhoo teams will continue to be placed in the most competitive tournaments, both in and out of state, including college showcases and EPYSA State competitions.

For League play, Classics Ballyhoo will continue to play in CPYSL, EDP or APL leagues, depending on the level of competition. Classics teams, Elite, Premier and Nova will all be doing the same.

The Academy team will play in the US Soccer Development Academy.


How will tryouts work?

Tryout schedules will be coordinated by both clubs to ensure players can attend both the tryouts for Classics Ballyhoo and also Classics Academy when appropriate.


Will new uniforms be required for the 2018/2019 season?

No! The Fall of 2018 will be the beginning of the second year of a two year agreement that Ballyhoo has with Adidas. Therefore Classics Ballyhoo players will continue to wear the current Ballyhoo uniforms that were worn for the 2017/18 season, through the spring of 2019.
